Ensured robust maintenance management to Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) standards. Managed and motivated cross-functional teams to achieve production objectives. • Redesigned, implemented and deployed a robust spare parts and procurement process for the 45K m² plant, inclusive of machine transportation, investment, maintenance, and spare parts, with budget equating to $2.5M.
• Won the Best 5S Award following delivery of 5S projects, with results including scrap rate decreasing from 3.5% to 1.5% and annual stock turnaround increasing from 3 to 12.
• Successfully delivered a new plant lay-out, machine transportation plan, factory relocation and energy cost saving initiative utilising Lean methodologies – equating to $1M cost savings in 2008.
2008-02 – 2014-12
Guide production operations across multiple departments, including moulding, assembly, watercolour, and eraser production. Project managed new product development activities, from initial concept and design phases, through mould and machine manufacturing, to product launch. Oversaw machinery investments, inclusive of purchasing, inspection, installation, and training. Recruited, led, and motivated large-scale production teams, with three direct reports.
• Won the 5S award for exceptional performance following implementation of 5S, Kanban, Kaizen, and Lean methodologies as well as the delivery of a business-critical outsourcing project that saved $1M.
• Drove vast improvements in profitability, with sales increasing by 80% during tenure despite zero increase in labour levels.
• Transformed the production area and maximized efficiency levels via assembly line layout upgrades to one-piece flow.
