Civil Engineer

In Design
• Prepare and review engineering analysis of civil works to include preliminary design, engineering calculations, equipment and material selection etc.
• Reviewing of IFC (Issued For Construction Drawings).
• Interpreted various building plans and codes to inspect the structure properly.
• Technical knowledge of the construction business.
• Provide documentation, detailed instructions, drawings and specifications to inform project team
• Review the BOQ and detailed drawings; prepare civil work design drawings and carryout the required engineering calculations
• Attending regular technical meetings with Clients regarding the progress of the project.
• Review of drawings (Structural,Architectural) design department, clarification to the civil.
In Site
• Handles concrete pouring, asphalt laying and other similar activities schedules on site, and coordinates with the suppliers directly to dispatch them to site.
• Read, interpret and follow method of statements and procedures, specifications, drawings, and all other discipline related project and engineering documentation.
• Prepares and report the daily, weekly and monthly progress of works
• Punching systems, final walk down and punch list management.
• Verifying contractor bills and approving variations.
• Quality Control for all civil engineering items, from stage wise inspections up to completion.
• Taking action for any non-conformance work occurred.
• Conduct Site Safety Inspections.
• Preparation of Quality Control documents and coordinating with Quality Control Manager for ensuring, the works to be carried as per designed drawings and contractual specifications.

Checking of reinforcement as per approved bar bending schedule, check the adequacy of the form work, rectifying any apparent mistakes, supervision of pouring concrete.
• Resolved and closed out all non-conformance issues. Liaised with site QA/QC Engineer and Safety Supervisor to take preventive and corrective actions.
• Monitoring all site construction and inspection work as per project specification and approved drawings.
• Directly coordinating with the contractor regarding project activities such as the construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and client’s requirements.
• Ensuring the subcontractors comply with operational and safety standards.
• Ensuring that all assigned work is completed on time and within agreed budgets.
• Attending meetings and competently communicate with Clients, Contractors and Management.
• Setting out Project works in accordance with Drawings & Specification.
• Encouraging continuous improvement through the measurement and reporting of the
key operational aspects to senior management.
• Providing specialist direction on unusual or difficult engineering issues.
• Carrying out site visits and surveys, Monitoring and inspecting the work of subcontractors and other third parties.
• Monitoring environmental protection measures & reporting of any hazards/incidents.
• Ensuring that all engineering activities are correctly cost and the complete design is delivered to the agreed budget.
