I am responsible for ensuring that food products meet standards set by both my company and regulatory authorities. I develop and review quality and safety policies and manage audits by third-party inspectors. Also I train quality assurance employees and oversee manufacturing and production processes.
My daily duties is to meet with other supervisors and inspect facilities for compliance with standards, determining methods to resolve any issues that arise. Also I review customer feedback and respond to any complaints. Annually I prepare reports on food quality status to relay to owners and upper-level management and keep records of all tests and inspections that have been conducted.
As a food quality assurance engineer I am knowledgeable about all food safety standards that are customary within the food industry and mandated by government regulations
