Security Technician (IT)

• Assisting with identifying company-wide information security needs and collaborating with the business to implement solutions
• Researching, identifying, evaluating and recommending security solutions, standards, and policies and procedures that protect information assets.
• Auditing systems, event logs, and processes; analyzing security-related events (SCEP)
• Administering and maintaining the LDAP directory for corporate network access rights, group policy management, and patch management.
• Reviewing existing apps periodically; evaluating new applications prior to installation
• Implementing and administering system and network security controls, including reviewing the configuration of firewall and proxy settings. (NetScope, Palo Alto etc.)
• Vulnerability scans performed for various systems and network devices with Qualys
• Assisting in IT Audit responses and implementation of remediation steps based on findings
