Worked as a transition SPOC for UNIX and completed seamless transition from onshore team. Formed offshore teams by providing reverse transition and training. The project consists of age old technologies such as Solaris 6 running on E450 Server and RedHat 7 to state of the art technologies like Solaris 11.3 and RHEL 7 respectively on latest hardware. Day to day activities involves mentoring team, attending P1 bridge calls and supporting mission critical issues, preparing RCA, further transition about new additions etc. Project follows ITIL process.

The project consists of 5000+ servers that includes Linux, Solaris with Veritas Cluster Server, Volume Manager, ZFS, LVM and SVM. Our day to day activities includes trouble shooting mission critical production servers to development server.

Designation: Senior Customer Engineer – UNIX/Linux

The project comprises of SUN Servers and Linux servers deployed in various regions. Maintenance and troubleshooting of SUN and Linux servers installed with OVPI, NNM, TeMIP and MRTG and networked with many devices.

Data Centre support and management
Installation, configuration and maintenance of Solaris and Linux servers and workstation
Writing shell scripts for monitoring memory, CPU and Disk utilization statistics on Solaris , Linux Servers
Administration and configuration of FTP, SSH, Network File Systems on Linux and Solaris
Configuration of new devices to the systems
Independently perform tasks related to technical support and management of UNIX/Linux based computing servers
Diagnose hardware / Software problems and support end user environments
