Provides technical support of network-related Information Security technologies, confirming they are operating within agreed service levels and that adherence to all relevant procedures are met
Provides technical expertise to enable all necessary operational procedures
Coordinates all maintenance and installation work
Confirms that steps are taken to anticipate operational problems and that incidents are identified and resolved in a timely and efficient manner
Communicates operational support issues on an ongoing-basis, manages and helps to prevent escalations where possible
Implements application enhancements to improve performance and stability.
Develops implementation plans for dealing with more complex requests for changes, evaluates risks to system availability and suggests improvements
Provides technical triage and resolution steps for new applications/services to Operational Support teams.

Job Responsibility

• Troubleshoots failed backup jobs and restore jobs based on Netbackup client alerts.(OS / Network/application configurations issues)
• Monitoring - As part of proactive incident avoidance need to monitor and analyze System Logs for issues, changes and alerts. Familiar with setting up Performance Analyzer for Netbackup (OpsCenter).
• Internal project implementation.
• Configuration of the Netbackup client, SAN media server configuration.
• Tape SAN Zoning,
• ACSLS server and SL8500 Library administration.
• Problem management.

• L2 backup support for Intel Data Center.
• Administration of VERITAS Netbackup Master Server and Media servers.
• Backup Policy implementation and backup optimization for NetApp filers, SAN and standalone servers.
• Trouble shoots VERITAS netback up 6.5.3 issues using logs and error status description.
• Manage media Movements. (Offsite and Onsite).111 TB/week.
• Administration of tape libraries such as Quantum M2500, P7000, P4000, P2000, PX720, and I scalar 2000.
• Patch deployment in backup servers and troubleshoot the issues related to patching.
• Perl scripting.
• Hands on experiences in various server platforms like HP DL380 G2,G3, G4 and G5 Servers.
• Vendor and Asset management.
