University had 4500 students and 500 academicians at the beginning of the job at the University in 2010. Before I left, the University had 40.000 students, more than 2000 academicians, and staffs were working. IT Department is responsible for supporting near 250 Server, 4000 Computer, 1200 Security Cameras, 400 Smart Class and 7 Conference Systems.
My roles are at university as IT Director;
• Management of IT Department Personnel (40 Personnel and 4 Section)
• Education, motivation, performance of IT Personnel
• Hiring new personnel
• Project and Program Management
• Improving the university and user culture for experience about educational technologies for improving quality
• Solving complex problems with information technologies
• Relation and Contract Management with stakeholders.
• Budget Management
• Reporting to General Manager
• Propose new project for improving productivity and vision of university
• Supporting process improvements of the university by using DevOps and AppDev
• Observing problems, attending meetings (all high-level meetings) for suggesting new solution with IT technology
• Improving new Smart Campus Model which is flexible, extensible, dynamic and simple and provide more time to personnel in their field.
• Supporting all IT Systems of university, Call Centre, 3 hospitals
• Standardization of IT Department processes like ISO 9001, ISO 27001 and ITIL

• Oversaw the entire IT infrastructure of corporate and all Marmara region headquarters; led and directed ongoing development and management of all servers, network and system security
• Managed departmental budget and planning; maintained accurate documentation including resource time tracking and network design documents to administrators at remote locations
• Directly involved as technical lead for all IT projects; facilitated server builds and network configurations, including migration to a virtual environment
• Led a team to develop and program a database for appraisal information while also designed an intranet for employees to share and search for information on the database, library, and archives
• Developed and implemented network security policies as well as conducted audits in the Marmara region headquarters and units

• Led and directed a team of 8 information systems specialists in supporting 4 different, detached data centers, including the NATO data center at headquarters, servicing over 15k members from all army commands

• Provided direct information security for the IT department; performed all forensic investigations and incident response functions, including policy writing; deployed and monitored internal continuous monitoring solution
• Enforced all information security policies, conducted compliance audits of all army and dependent corps as well as provided secure vendor management, created reports, schedules, and budgets to C-level management

• Responsible for the installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of Microsoft Windows and Linux based servers and appliances.
• Responsible for the installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of networking equipment.
• Responsible for the installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of mass storage devices.
• Responsible for corporate communications and messaging services and systems, Manages system and software deployment and configuration.
• Monitors and tunes servers and devices to ensure optimal operating system and application software performance.
