Study and manipulation of nanoparticle dispersion in polymer matrices and
impact on macroscopic performances:
- Processing of polymer nanocomposites and nanocomposite polymer blends (extrusion, solution mixing, batch mixing, film blowing, compression molding)
- Characterization techniques (rheology, dynamic-mechanical analysis, thermal analyses, microscopy and image analysis, mechanical tests, permeability measurements, dielectric spectroscopy, electrical conductivity measurements)

▪ Morphological characterization of composite and polymeric substrates: Rheology, Optical Microscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM, ESEM, SEM-EDX) and Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM); image analyses theory and skills in the use of popular image processing software.
