Reviewing the approved quality plans, manuals, and scope of work to perform the required inspection.
• Verifying WPS requirements as per design and project specification.
• Checking the quality of the material and ensuring the installation as per the quality specifications/ manual and client quality standards and requirements.
• Carrying out inspection of various international codes.
• Estimation of tools & tackles, consumables and equipment requirement.
• Establishment of WPS & Welder qualification. Review of isometric drawings and MTO.
• Involves in Preparation of Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) & Inspection Test Plan (ITP) for various activities in compliance with requirement of project specification.
• Verifying WPS requirements as per design and project specification.
• Maintaining and updating the records of calibration.
• Checking Joint fit up to Rectify any Mismatch / raising RFI, as per requirements of approved I.T.P.
• Checking root of the Joint to surface of the Joint & Rectifying any Lack of fusion or Penetration in the root and Undercuts on the surface.
• Witnessing NDT test from Subcontractor as per ASME Sec V.
• Monitor welder performance and ensure that they are performing within the limits of qualification.
• Preparing daily reports for electrode issuance, fit up inspection, welding production report and 100% visual inspection of joints.
• Preparation and review of weekly and cumulative welding status report.
• Preparation of two weeks looks ahead for QA/QC activities.
• Ensuring NDT clearance, as per the project requirement before hydro test.
• Review and updating of all documents related to welding.
• Follow up with punch list and exceptional items.
• Co-ordinate with client inspector for day to day activities and stage wise inspection.

• Verifying compliance to approved Painting procedures, applicable Safety regulations, & Quality concerned aspects of Painting including but not limited to the inspection of the condition of Compressors, Conventional/Airless spray machines, Validity of calibration of equipments/Machines/measuring instruments, Qualitative & Technical approval of the supplied abrasives, paint & paint products, Batch certificates along with identification for traceability on paint cans, Shelf life of paint products by carrying out material receiving inspection.
• Coordinating for client inspection and recording of incoming and outgoing materials, review of shop dossiers, maintaining and updating records in database and sending Daily Progress Report to department head.
• Responsible for verifying the evaluation of test package contents, lines checking against drawing requirements to ensure completeness and accuracy of the piping system.
• Knowledge of various welding process viz SMAW, SAW, GTAW, GMAW. Well acquainted with working knowledge of various Codes & Standards like ASME, ASTM, API, and AWS.
• Execution of pipeline activities like Stringing , Fit ups ,Welding , Field Joint Coating , Painting , Holiday Test , , NDT , Erection alignment , Hydro testing .
• Ensure that contractors comply with all aspects of the worksite Safety Plan and policy.
• Identifying and raising NCR’s for violations against project specifications, codes and standards

• Making weekly, monthly and yearly reports, these include: machine breakdown, time and cost analysis, spare parts consumption, manpower utilization, etc.
• Prepare weld maps for all drawing Issued for Construction.

• Making proposals and suggestions for the development of Mechanical maintenance department and for minimizing of down time and cost of each problem.
• Strict follow-up of the implementation of approved ITP.
• Assist in preparing Quality Procedures and Test Packages.
